Wednesday Evening Series

1. Eligibility

The Wednesday evening handicap series is open to all U.S.C. sailing members, both adults and juniors.

2. Racing

Details of dates, times and races to count are given in the Race Programme.

3. Duty Rota

Duties in these series are extra to the club weekend duty rota.  The Wednesday evening duty rota for the series will be made up by the Rota Secretary from those members taking part in that series.  Adults will be Race Officers or Rescue Officers, and Juniors will be Race Officers as required.  Any exchanges on the rota must be by mutual consent and the Rota Secretary should be kept informed when changes have been made.

4. Duty Duration

A duty ends as soon as racing has finished, usually about 21.00 hours.  Duty Officers are not expected to open the galley after sailing.  However the Duty Officer, or any adult member of the Club, may take on this responsibility if he or she is willing.
 

Wednesday Socials

Remember that the bar is open for a convivial drink every Wednesday throughout the year from about 9pm - earlier if there is sailing.  The conversation is wide-ranging and entertaining and the drinks are excellent value!
